About

So, I have been diagnosed with irritable trowel syndrome. That is – a compulsion to dig up old stuff. So much so that I decided to go and do a degree in it. This blog is about my experiences during my archaeology degree at the University of Manchester and my encounters and thoughts about the past during my time here.

I have a particular interest in material culture studies, Roman archaeology and am a self-confessed Japanophile, but my meandering thought-processes often take me down much more varied routes than that. I’d love to get to know more people interested in archaeology and would love to hear your thoughts so please feel very encouraged to comment!
